• 1347 – 1341-47 के बीजान्टिन गृहयुद्ध का समापन जॉन सहा कंटकोज़ेजेनस और जॉन वी पलियाओगोस के बीच सत्ता साझाकरण समझौते के साथ हुआ था।
• 1575 – लीडेन यूनिवर्सिटी की स्थापना की गयी थी।
• 1693 – वर्जीनिया के विलियम्सबर्ग, विलियम एंड मैरी के कॉलेज को किंग विलियम III और क्वीन मैरी II के चार्टर का दर्जा दिया गया था।
