  वैज्ञानिकों को ऑटिज़्म से जुड़े दो अलग-अलग जैविक तनाव का पता चला है, जिनके बारे में उनका दावा है कि इससे बीमारी के प्रभावी इलाज का विकास हो सकेगा। इन खोजों की तुलना 1960 के दशक में हुई कैंसर के विभिन्न प्रकारों की खोजों से की जा रही है और इनसे उम्मीद जागी है कि इनसे ऑटिज़्म ग्रस्त बच्चों के संपर्क, सामाजिकरण और अन्य समस्याओं को ज़्यादा आसानी और जल्दी से निपटा जा सकेगा।

These discoveries are being compared to the discoveries of different types of cancer in the 1960s and there is hope that communication, socialization and other problems of children suffering from autism can be dealt with more easily and quickly.
